HSC is proud to announce educational seminars that will take place during the Expo. The HSC Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention will take place January 23-25, 2015, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas.

The HSC expo seminars include two interesting and educational sessions. One of the seminars will feature guest speakers Paul Trethowan and Dr. Andrew Loveridge. Paul is the lead researcher of the Bubye Valley Conservancy (BVC) Lion Research Project, which is home to 25% of the lion population in Zimbabwe. Dr. Andrew Loveridge is the lead researcher of Hwange National Park Lion Research Project. Their seminar Lions of Bubye Valley Conservancy – A Conservation Success Story will give attendees an in-depth look of the program, as well as a look into the behavioral ecology of African lions.

HSC is proud and excited to announce the auction lineup for the HSC Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention. Proceeds from the auctions will benefit HSC’s mission of preserving the sport of hunting through education, conservation and the protection of hunters’ rights. The convention will take place January 23-25, 2015, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas.

HSC is proud to announce celebrity appearances that will take place during the Expo. The HSC Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention will take place January 23-25, 2015, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas.

Razor Dobbs, big game hunter and host of the television series RAZOR DOBBS ALIVE on Sportsman Channel, will make an appearance on Saturday, January 24, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the HSC membership booth in the expo hall. Razor is an award-winning television producer and hunts across the globe pursuing dangerous game.

HSC provided a grant to the Texas Game Warden Association (TGWA) in support of their annual youth hunt.

In October, the TGWA put on an annual youth hunt at Cedar Bayou Farms in Liberty County. Youth hunts put on by TGWA are designed to be educational hunts and enable kids to experience the outdoors and hunting. These kids have either never hunted before or rarely get the opportunity to do so.

HSC continued its support of U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (USSAF) with a grant of $25,000. Funds will help the USSAF work to defend hunting, fishing and trapping against lawsuits, legislation and ballot issues initiated by anti-hunters.

For over 36 years, USSAF has been able to achieve a 95% success rate of defeating anti-hunting led initiatives. Unfortunately, the number of new anti-hunting initiatives is increasing and the only way they can meet those challenges is with increased funding from supporters like HSC.

HSC’s annual convention showcases wildlife, wild places and the sporting lifestyle for thousands of visitors and exhibitors from around the globe. The three-day long exposition will feature hundreds of hunting outfitters, gear and luxury exhibits from South Texas to South Africa and everywhere in between.
