HSC Provides Support to the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation

HSC continued its support of U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (USSAF) with a grant of $25,000. Funds will help the USSAF work to defend hunting, fishing and trapping against lawsuits, legislation and ballot issues initiated by anti-hunters.

For over 36 years, USSAF has been able to achieve a 95% success rate of defeating anti-hunting led initiatives. Unfortunately, the number of new anti-hunting initiatives is increasing and the only way they can meet those challenges is with increased funding from supporters like HSC.

“We are appreciative of HSC’s recognition of the battle we face to protect our outdoor heritage from anti-hunting groups and animal-rights extremists,” said USSAF President and CEO, Nick Pinizzotto. “This generous gift shows their commitment to ensuring a bright future for sportsmen, which is a shared element of our missions.”

Strengthening the partnership between USSAF and HSC will help ensure the future of our nation’s outdoor heritage. Funding provided will be used to advance USSAF’s mission of protecting and advancing sportsmen’s rights by supporting their actions across the breadth of the outdoor community.

“HSC is proud to partner with USSAF in their endeavor to protect our hunting and fishing heritage,” said HSC Grant Chairman, Mark King. “The Trailblazer Adventure Program in particular perfectly fits our mission of protecting the future of hunting by educating youth on the outdoors.”

About U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation
The USSA Foundation (USSAF) is a 501(c)(3) organization that protects and defends America’s wildlife conservation. USSAF is responsible for public education, legal defense and research. USSAF works to educate the public on the vital role sportsmen play in wildlife conservation, and to reduce recruitment and retention barriers of hunters. Through programs such as the Trailblazer Adventure Program that introduces youth and their families to an outdoor lifestyle; the USSAF’s Sportsmen’s Legal Defense Fund, which represents sportsmen in lawsuits that affect our outdoor heritage and ensures that the sportsmen’s voice is heard above the rhetoric of the anti-hunting lobby; and the Families Afield program, which makes it easier for new hunters to enter the field, the USSA Foundation works to ensure that today’s outdoors heritage exists for tomorrow’s sportsmen.
