HSC Announces Educational Seminars for 2015 Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention

HSC is proud to announce educational seminars that will take place during the Expo. The HSC Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention will take place January 23-25, 2015, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands, Texas.

The HSC expo seminars include two interesting and educational sessions. One of the seminars will feature guest speakers Paul Trethowan and Dr. Andrew Loveridge. Paul is the lead researcher of the Bubye Valley Conservancy (BVC) Lion Research Project, which is home to 25% of the lion population in Zimbabwe. Dr. Andrew Loveridge is the lead researcher of Hwange National Park Lion Research Project. Their seminar Lions of Bubye Valley Conservancy – A Conservation Success Story will give attendees an in-depth look of the program, as well as a look into the behavioral ecology of African lions.

“Bubye Valley Conservancy is one of the most profound conservation success stories for the African lion in recent times,” stated Paul Trethowan, lead researcher of the BVC. “It is important to study and document the circumstances that lead to this conservation achievement and others like it, in order to make informed management decisions across the range of the species.”

HSC is also hosting an SCI Measuring course during the expo for those who would like to become an Official SCI Measurer. The fee for the course includes entrance into the seminar, one-year SCI membership, official measuring kit and official measuring test. If you’re looking to become an Official SCI Measurer and have never attended a measuring course, you will want to sign-up!
