The winners will be announced at the annual HSC Convention and Hunting Expo, January 13-15 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriot, The Woodlands, Texas. Entries are accepted each year for these prestigious awards. An entrant must be a member of Houston Safari Club. The Hunting Awards include International, Whitetail and Youth Categories! Photo award submissions may be entered into Wildlife, Trophy, Indigenous People, Landscape and Pride of HSC categories. Houston Safari Club recently signed onto a letter to both presidential candidates that covered the Statement of Principles in Support of Public Lands. HSC’s partnership with Conservation Visions includes support of the Wild Harvest Initiative. The Wild Harvest Initiative is multi-year program designed by Conservation Visions Inc. to measure and analyze the biomass of wild animal protein harvested by citizens of the United States and Canada, and to assess its nutritional and its economic value. Houston, TX – Houston Safari Club (HSC) is pleased to announce the recent award of twenty four (24) scholarships as part of its Dan L. Duncan Scholarship awards. The winners were chosen from hundreds of qualified applicants. These applicants must have a desire to protect and promote the sport of hunting and the principles of conservation. Applicants for these scholarships are undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Wildlife Management and/or Range Management. The ideal candidate must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities and complete a thorough application process including recommendations, transcript reviews, and in some cases, providing thesis information. HSC is one of the founding supporters of Conservation Force, and has provided funding since 1997.
