Houston, TX (March 16, 2022) – Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is proud to announce its quarterly publication, Hunter’s HornTM, has been recognized as the best outdoor publication by Texas Outdoor Writers Association (TOWA). Hunter’s HornTM was recognized at the Texas Outdoor Writers Association’s annual Excellence In Craft Awards Banquet. The banquet is held in conjunction with TOWA’s Annual Conference, most recently assembling in February of 2022. This award comes on the heels of the HSCF publication receiving awards including a Gold Davey Award, Gold Marcom Award, American Graphic Design Award and a Communicator Award. “Houston Safari Club Foundation and our publishing team are honored to receive this award from TOWA. (Houston, TX- February 17, 2022) Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) recently announced its annual winners in photography, hunting, service, and conservation excellence, at its 2022 Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention. Each year, HSCF celebrates achievements in various disciplines. Winners were announced for hunting accomplishments in several North American and international categories. In addition, winners were named for distinction in outdoor photography, with HSCF Life member Suzanne Hixson taking home the “Best of Show” award for her photographic prowess. HSCF Life members Susan and David Kalich were named as the 2021 Frank Green Award winners and Mark King, HSCF Life member, and past President, took home the honors for the 2022 Frank Green Award. (Houston, TX- February 15, 2022) Despite the threat of a winter storm across the United States, Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) concluded one of its most successful annual conventions. The 2022 HSCF Worldwide Hunting Expo & Convention was held February 4-6, 2022, in Houston, Texas. Freezing temperatures and winter storms did not dampen enthusiasm as record crowds were in attendance to celebrate HSCF’s annual gathering of hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. HSCF’s raffles and banquets, in conjunction with the expo, exceeded fundraising goals in support of education, hunting, and conservation. Noted hunter and conservationist, Ivan Carter, was the keynote speaker for the Saturday night gala. Exhibitors and volunteers were treated to a Thursday night party in their honor.
