Hunting in Kansas with Tim Weddington of 10 Gauge Outfitters on the “Hunting Matters with Joe Betar” Podcast

(Houston, TX- July 23, 2024) Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) and the “Hunting Matters with Joe Betar” podcast welcomes Tim Weddington, owner and guide, 10 Gauge Outfitters.

Tim Weddington is the owner and a guide of 10 Gauge Outfitters. 10 Gauge Outfitters is a premier Kansas pheasant hunting lodge. They are well known for our extraordinary pheasant hunting, prairie dog, trophy whitetails, and Rio Grande turkey hunts.

When Tim Weddington was nine years old, his dad took him out shooting cans with a 22. caliber pellet gun. He was hooked on shooting from that point on. The next year his father handed down his 22. caliber rim fire and Tim started hunting rabbits and squirrels. Tim loves the outdoors and spends every minute he can enjoying it.

Tim feels the most rewarding part of being a Kansas hunting guide is seeing the joy and excitement on his client’s faces when they harvest the game they are chasing. Tim still does some big game hunting for himself, but he gets more excitement seeing a client jump up and down, share a hug, and maybe even a tear after a spot and stalk has culminated in the harvest of a big buck or when they have called in a strutting tom within 15 feet and you can feel his thundering gobble in your chest. That is why Tim started 10 Gauge Outfitters – to share these special moments in the field with his clients.
