Come Hear Dr. James Kroll AKA Dr. Deer Speak About Nutrition Management for Whitetail – What Really Works! -AND- A report on what hunters can expect for trophy quality on whitetail bucks in Texas this year!
Dr. James C. Kroll, Ph.D., is the Henry M. Rockwell Chair in Forest Wildlife, Director of the Institute for White-tailed Deer Management and Research, and Co-Director of the Pineywoods Native Plant Center. James received the BS in 1969 from Baylor University, the MS in 1970 from Baylor University and the PhD in 1973 from Texas A&M University, where he was the Distinguished Graduate of 1973. Dr. Kroll is one of the leading wildlife biologists in the nation. Since 1973 he has been a leading research scholar focusing primarily on the ecology, habitats, ecosystems and management activities that support healthy white-tailed deer populations. He has taught courses in wildlife habitat management, wildlife management techniques, wildlife ecology, land management planning, white-tailed deer ecology and management, introduction to forestry, wildlife diseases and research methods. He has directed thirty-two theses or dissertation projects during his career at SFASU.
