The MOU signifies a collaborative partnership between the organizations to advance conservation goals and benefit sportsmen and women. (Houston, TX- June 19, 2020) Houston Safari Club Foundation fully supports the passage of the Great American Outdoors Act.
The U.S. Senate has passed the landmark conservation legislation introduced by U.S. Senators Cory Gardner (R-CO), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Steve Daines (R-MT), Rob Portman (R-OH), Mark Warner (D-VA), Angus King (I-ME), Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Martin Heinrich (D-NM), and 51 other Senate members. The Great American Outdoors Act fully funds the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) at a level of $900 million every year and addresses the approximately $20 billion maintenance backlog on federal public lands.
This critical legislation will help rebuild our national park infrastructure and address the more than $12 billion backlog in long-delayed maintenance projects throughout the U.S. park system while supporting more than 100,000 jobs over the next five years.

(Houston, TX- June 24, 2020) Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) and “Hunting Matters” welcomes Chester Moore, award-winning wildlife journalist and conservationist
Chester is Editor-In-Chief of Texas Fish & Game magazine and contributes to Sports Afield, Hunter’s Horn, Deer & Deer Hunting, Tide, The Lakecaster and many others. He is host of “Moore Outdoors” on Newstalk AM 560 KLVI and of The Higher Calling podcast. Chester has authored 15 books including Hog Wild: Hog Hunting Facts, Tips & Strategies, Texas Waterfowl and Flounder Fever. He is a lifelong hunter and angler who enjoys everything from bowhunting wild turkeys to surf fishing for sharks to fly fishing for rainbow trout.
His heart is for conservation and youth. He was awarded the Advocatus Magni award in 2020 from the National Wild Turkey Federation for his work with wild turkeys, the Mossy Oak Outdoors Legacy award in 2017 for his work with children and wildlife and was named a “Hero Of Conservation” by Field & Stream magazine. Altogether he has won more than 150 awards for conservation, writing, radio and photography. He and his wife Lisa operate the Kingdom Zoo Wildlife Center® and Wild Wishes® programs which give wildlife encounters to children with a critical illness, in the foster system or who have lost a parent or sibling. Their latest project is Higher Calling Wild Wishes Expeditions which takes teens from those programs into the forest and mountains to mentor them in using photography and video to raise awareness and funds for wildlife conservation.
His favorite animals are wild sheep and his most amazing wildlife encounter was cage diving with great white sharks in the Pacific. His most important roles however are as a follower of Christ, husband, father, and mentor.

CSF, along with other conservation organizations, recently launched the ResponsibleRecreation campaign as an effort to encourage Americans to responsibly enjoy outdoor recreation while adhering to COVID-19 public health practices and natural resource stewardship principles.
Whether participating in hunting, fishing, recreational shooting or other outdoor opportunities, these activities support mental and physical well-being while social distancing and are a great way to enjoy the outdoors during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Jack has published three political thrillers, The Terminal List, True Believer, and now his third, Savage Son, which came out in April of this year. Chris Pratt is set to star in and executive produce The Terminal List, along with Antoine Fuqua, for an upcoming Amazon series.
