Undergraduate in Natural Resources Management with a concentration in Wildlife Biology

I grew up in Azle, Texas, but my second home has always been my family’s ranch in Crossplains, Texas. There, I found my passion for hunting, and my interest in wildlife biology began. Hunting is a lifestyle I hope to expand and share with others for a lifetime. My love for all things outdoors has prospered through many new experiences at Texas Tech University. I was elected as the 2023-2024 outreach coordinator of The Wildlife Society at Texas Tech, and I am a full-time undergraduate research/field technician on a Rio Grande Wild Turkey project. As I continue this chapter, I am pursuing studies in natural resources management to successfully contribute to the preservation of Texas wildlife habitats and those who manage them. From a young age, it has remained apparent that wildlife and hunting must be protected for future generations to enjoy. To achieve this, I plan to further my studies and attend graduate school following my undergraduate graduation in May 2024. I know I will gain the knowledge and skills required to be a part of the picture that is truly bigger than myself and protect all things natural, wild, and free.
