Undergraduate in Wildlife, Sustainability & Ecosystem Sciences. Waterfowl Seasonal Activity and Habitat Use in Two Ecoregions in North-Central Texas
Born and raised in Texas, I quickly developed a passion for the outdoors at a young age. My father introduced me to hunting and fishing and as I grew older, these hobbies became an obsession. As I progressed as an outdoorsman, I knew I wanted a career involving the outdoors. I chose to continue my education at Tarleton State University and quickly became involved. This gave me the opportunity to take over an undergraduate research project studying waterfowl in both the Edwards Plateau and Cross Timbers ecoregions. Also, I am currently the vice president for both the Tarleton Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society and the Tarleton Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. Because my love for the outdoors has grown so much over the past few years, I no longer must be hunting or fishing to enjoy the outdoors. Although I still hunt as much as I can, I have made the decision to dedicate my time, money, and career to help conserve our wild things and wild places for generations to come.
