Chris Ruhman has been a life member of HSCF since 2010. Chris is a native Houstonian and a former student-athlete at Texas A&M University. After completing his collegiate eligibility, Chris was drafted into the NFL where he spent 5 years as an offensive lineman. After football, he earned his Juris Doctorate and returned to Houston where he entered private practice. Chris has since founded Southern Title, LLC in The Woodlands, serving as the company’s general counsel.

Chris is a Past President of the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association and a current member of the Association’s Executive Committee. He is active in multiple philanthropic endeavors in Montgomery County including the Beyond Batten Disease Foundation, Children’s Safe Harbor, Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Association where he has served as Executive Leadership Team Member and Co-Chair of the 2019 Montgomery County Heart Ball Gala.

Chris is married to Sondra and they have one child, MJ (18). The family hunts and shoots together, and they never miss an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
