HSC Provides Support for Conservation Force

HSC continued its support of Conservation Force with a grant renewal of $25,000. HSC is one of the founding supporters of Conservation Force, which it has funded since 1997.

Conservation Force is a charitable foundation dedicated to conservation of wildlife, wild places and the outdoor way of life. Its name and its theme, “hunters are the force” stand for three forces. First, that hunters and anglers are an indispensable and essential force for wildlife conservation. Second, that Conservation Force is a collaborative effort combining forces of a consortium of organizations and, third, that Conservation Force itself is a proactive force to be reckoned with because of its record of conservation successes.

“It is doubtful there would be a Conservation Force today had it not been for HSC’s support from the inception,” stated John Jackson, President, Conservation Force. “Through that proactive collaboration, together we have advanced conservation and the diverse interests of the hunting community beyond compare.”

HSC Past-President Melanie Pepper states, “Conservation Force is absolutely necessary today to oppose the vast resources, both monetary and through the media, being mustered by the anti-hunting, anti-firearms coalition.  Without Conservation Force there is no doubt in my mind that hunting and hunter’s rights today would be greatly reduced and under even more attack without Conservation Force.  I am proud to support Conservation Force as well as the many fine wildlife conservation organizations such as HSC that in turn, support Conservation Force.”
