GUNWERKS Pronghorn Hunt combined with a 2-day Field Marksmanship Clinic Contest Info

Become a member of HSCF today for your chance to win a GUNWERKS Pronghorn Hunt combined with a 2-day Field Marksmanship Clinic at the famed NRA Whittington Center in New Mexico!

This event combines a GUNWERKS 2-day Field Marksmanship Clinic with two days of pronghorn antelope hunting in Northern New Mexico! You will stay at the famed NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico. Your experience will begin with the GUNWERKS Long Range University 2-day Field Marksmanship Clinic. This training course will prepare you to be successful on your hunt regardless of your level of shooting experience. You will train with the GUNWERKS Magnus Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor, working specifically on tripod positions and troubleshooting your technique. On the second afternoon you will switch to your own personal rifle to confirm zero and validate your trajectory out to your maximum comfortable range. GUNWERKS will assist you in loading the data into your laser rangefinder if necessary and ensure everything is tracking correctly by shooting targets at different distances from your preferred shooting position/support.

This hunt will take place during the rut which brings out the biggest bucks. For the hunt, you will be partnered with one other hunter and a professional guide and hunt on ranches approximately an hour’s drive from the Whittington Center. The hunting outfitter will provide meals and also offers meat processing and taxidermy services for an additional fee. You will also have the option to donate your meat to charity. Hunters are encouraged to bring their own rifle for the hunting portion of this event. If you do not have a rifle, GUNWERKS will allow a limited number of hunters to utilize the rifle used in the Field Marksmanship Clinic, with advanced notice.

The event will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024-Sunday, October 6, 2024. Meals, lodging, rifle rental and ammunition fee (for the shooting course) are included. Air and/or ground transportation and a New Mexico pronghorn antelope tag are not included. Tags are available to purchase from New Mexico Game and Fish until after July 1. You will receive an e-mail with detailed directions on how to purchase the correct tag after July 1. This item may not be transferred, assigned or substituted.
