March 1, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

HSC March Monthly Meeting Featuring George Severence, Retired US Navy SEAL Lieutenant Commander

George Severence Photo

Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare, George Severence has led special operations teams on four continents, deployed seven times and worked with special operations teams from 20 different countries. He led the restructuring of the SEAL Junior Officer Training Course as the Officer in Charge, bringing relevant combat experience and leadership training to all SEAL candidate officers.  Following his Executive Officer tour George retired from active duty in July 2016.

Throughout his life, George has been an avid outdoorsman, pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing throughout the U.S., Canada, and Africa, spending most of this time introducing his daughter to the joy of the hunt.  For the past three years George, in a partnership with Chapman Ranch in Texas, has introduced children from California to hunting during the Texas Youth Hunting Weekend.   He currently consults in the outdoor and tactical spaces, is a soon to be published author and is a partner in a hunting operation with exclusive rights for guided mouflon sheep and axis deer hunts in Lanai, Hawaii.
