Jeff is extremely honored to serve as the HSCF President for 2025-2026 term.  He is a life member and has previously served as chairperson of the Membership Committee,  Grants Committee and the 2025 Hunting Expo and Convention.  He is passionate about the mission of the Club to preserve the sport of hunting through education, advocacy, conservation, and the promotion of our hunting heritage.  He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys all types of hunting and fishing, especially sharing experiences with his son Collin, who is also an avid hunter and fisherman.  Jeff and Collin are closing in on completing the Ultimate Waterfowlers Challenge of harvesting the 41 ducks and geese of North America.

Jeff has been an in-house legal counsel for a large petrochemical company for twenty plus years and is currently a general manager for their technology licensing department.   He is a licensed attorney, registered professional engineer and licensed patent attorney.    He received his Bachelors and Masters in Engineering from Texas A&M and law degree from South Texas College of Law.

He served as a board member for the Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce for many years and was the Chairman of the Board  for 2019-2020.

Jeff is also a life member of SCI, Wild Sheep Foundation, GSCO-Ovis and Texas Wildlife Association.

James Lofton has spent the last 25 years as an ambassador for the hunting and shooting sports. In addition to being a member of HSC, he is a Benefactor Member of the NRA, a Life Member of the North American Hunting Club as well as a member of the Congressional Sportsman Foundation and Gun Owners of America, among others. He has a passion for introducing new hunters to our sport and preserving our hunting and gun rights. James is eager to put his skills and passion to work for the HSCF.

James has a history of volunteering and leading charity events and groups. He was the founder and chairman of the DFW Oilman’s Tactical Shoot from 2009-2017, which donated proceeds to support military and veteran’s groups such as Combat Marine Outdoors. CMO takes purple heart recipients on hunting and fishing trips as part of their recovery process. Sharing a camp with these hero’s is one of the highlights of James’ hunting experiences. James also was the Chairman of the Shoot from the Heart Brazos Valley Sporting Clays Tournament from 2004-2007.

After graduating from Texas A&M, James spent the last 28 years in the oil and gas industry. He is a managing partner of JAN Resources, LLC, an oilfield service company that specializes in water treating and completion chemicals. He was a member of the FW SPE Board of Directors for 5 years, serving as President and Scholarship Chairman during that time. James and his wife Kathryn (HSCF Member also) were fortunate to win the bid on several of the hunts and items sold at the HSCF Annual Convention dinners and Gazelle’s Luncheon auctions, including 2 safaris in Namibia which they completed in the summer of 2019. He was also able to share this hunt with his father, who was instrumental in starting James’ passion for hunting. James learned from his father, that the woods, prairies, mountains, lakes and rivers we all enjoy are a great place to teach others about life lessons and gain an appreciation for the outdoors.

Leo Martínez serves as the Ranch Manager for DEA Ranch in Mathis, Texas. A native of Freer, Texas, Leo’s passion for hunting South Texas whitetail deer developed early and has since expanded to include a love for big game hunting and fishing in the Laguna Madre. After earning a degree in Livestock and Ranch Management from TSTI in Waco, he embarked on a career that spans ranch management and consulting, a role he continues to excel in today.

Dedicated to passing on the traditions of outdoor recreation, Leo actively participates in youth hunts, fostering a new generation of hunters and ensuring the legacy of the sport endures. His deep commitment to conservation and holistic land management has led him to collaborate with some of the most respected conservationists and wildlife managers in the industry.

Leo is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the Houston Safari Club Foundation, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA. He also served as a board member of the Texas Deer Association. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Leo was honored with the 2025 HSCF Outfitter of the Year Award.

ROSS MELINCHUK

Ross Melinchuk has been a member of Houston Safari Club since 2015 and served on the 2019-2020 Board of Directors. He joined the NWTF in March of 2018 as Vice President of Conservation. In his current role he oversees a national staff of wildlife biologists and foresters to deliver conservation as well as hunter recruitment and retention programs at NWTF. Melinchuk has more than four decades of experience in the natural resources field.  

Ross was the Director of Conservation Programs for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) where he oversaw the Land Conservation, Water Resources, Landscape Ecology, International Programs and Project Management Office. He also served as the Deputy Executive Director for Natural Resources for TPWD from 2009-2017, responsible for overseeing the department’s Wildlife, Coastal and Inland Fisheries Divisions. 

Before accepting his position with TPWD, he was Director of Public Policy for Ducks Unlimited (DU), where he was responsible for providing strategic direction for public policy and state grant activities for a 15-state region in the South and Southeastern U.S.  

Prior to his 17-year career with DU, he served as NAWMP coordinator for the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies from 1990-1992. 

He began his professional career with Saskatchewan Environment, as a wildlife biologist in the late 1970’s, ending up as the agency’s NAWMP coordinator, a position he held until 1990 when he left Canada to work in Washington D.C. He graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology and earned a Master of Science degree in 1983 from Lakehead University.

Ross is an avid hunter, angler and shooter and has or is planning to hunt in Alaska, Namibia, Argentina, Canada, Spain, New Zealand and South Africa.

JD Burrows has been a member of HSC since 2008, and has served as a volunteer on several committees. Serving on the Membership Committee from 2010 to 2012, he had the pleasure of working the Convention floor and signing up new members. Having learned so much about the Club while signing up new members, he decided to take on a more prominent role in 2013. He served as Director, Grants Committee Chairman, and was Silent Auction Chairman for 2014. Most recently, he served as the HSCF President from 2019-2020. He and his wife Angie are also Hunting Awards Sponsors and Gazelles sponsors.

In professional capacity, JD serves as the Vice President of Marketing for ENGIE, a leading global energy company, and is responsible for branding, public relations, market analytics and pricing strategies.

Carl is currently President of Eureka Energy Advisors, LLC. The company provides subject matter experts with a variety of technical and management expertise to clients in all aspects of upstream project development, well control, risk management, production optimization and final field abandonment. He retired from Halliburton in 2019 after a career of 34 years. At retirement, Carl was the Global Operations Manager for Boots & Coots Well Control responsible for supporting and managing the company’s Global Well Control, Prevention, and Special Services groups. Prior to that position, he headed up the dedicated Relief Well Operations Team and later the Well Control Engineering Group. Before joining Boots & Coots, Mr. Cramm managed the Halliburton Integrated Services group managing multi rig / multi well projects. His experience also includes 21 years of global experience with Sperry Drilling Services LWD / Directional Drilling culminating as Sperry’s Middle East / North Africa / Eurasia Regional Manager before joining Halliburton’s Management Team. 

Carl holds Bachelor of Science Degrees from Texas A&M U. in Agriculture Economics and Petroleum Engineering, an Associate Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, and is a 2003 Graduate of the Halliburton President’s Seminar. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, and is a member of SPE and AADE. In addition, Mr. Cramm has authored and co-authored numerous technical papers and shares in seven patents for well control technology.

 Married to Holli Diane Cramm, P.E. for 34 years, they met while studying Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M. They have one son, Carl “CJ” Cramm IV, who works for Bottom Line Equipment LLC in Beaumont where he is the General Service Manager. As a family, they are active in car racing. Currently, their Cramm Motorsports race team participates in the Trans Am Pro racing series, Sports Car Club of America, and the National Auto Sport Association. Their company, Cramm Motorsports, provides trackside support, fabrication and car preparation to amateur racers. 

A member of Houston Safari Club Foundation since 2018, Carl has volunteered at the Annual HSCF Convention for the past 5 years providing logistics support. Most recently he served as the Convention Exhibitor Logistics Chair at the 2025 Convention. Initially regional hunting, Upland bird (Pheasant, Quail and Sandhill Crane) and Texas White Tail once dominated his hunting focus. Among the Texas trophies are several White Tail Bucks harvested on the Norias and Santa Gertrudis Divisions of the King Ranch and an SCI Gold Class Nilgai taken on the King Ranch Encino Division. As hunting seasons passed, Carl’s hunting interests have broadened, adding international destinations to the list. Multiple trips to South Africa and most recently New Zealand have expanded and enriched the “Experiences of a Lifetime”

Retired from Enterprise Products Company, Rudy splits his time between clearing cedar on his ranch in the Hill Country and hunting across North and South America, Africa, and New Zealand with bow, rifle, and shotgun. He’s been a member of Houston Safari Club Foundation for over 20 years and served previously as a Vice President on the HSCF Board. He is currently a Director on the HSCF Board, and serves on the HSCF Dan L Duncan Scholarship Committee. Happily married to Mackenzie, he is the father and father-in-law to Laurie-Leigh and Trey White.

Tommy has been a member of HSCF since 2005 and a life member since 2016. Tommy graduated from Texas A&M University receiving a degree in Agricultural Economics. Upon graduation from Texas A&M Tommy worked 41 years for the Farm Credit System as a loan officer, Branch Manager and CEO. The last 22 years Tommy served as a Credit Office President for Capital Farm Credit in charge of 15 offices covering southeast Texas. He retired from banking in 2020.  In addition, while working for Capital Farm Credit he was instrumental in creating a partnership with HSCF and Capital Farm Credit to become a corporate sponsor, a sponsorship that has continued since 2006. Currently he is a fourth-generation cattle rancher operating a commercial cow/calf and a registered Beefmaster operation.

Tommy passion for hunting began when he was 8 years old hunting whitetail on his family ranch with a 243 open site rifle, a rifle his two children have taken their first whitetail bucks. He has hunted on three continents and continues to hunt on their family ranch in Austin County and their ranch in McMullen County. In addition, he looks forward to an annual trip to Alaska fishing for Salmon on the Kenia River.

Tommy is life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, member of CCA, the NRA, Austin County Livestock Association, Bellville Lions Club, Austin County Rifle and Pistol Club, President of the NBW Feed Sharing Association, Life member of the FFA Alumni Association and volunteer as a mentor for students at Texas A&M with careers in Entrepreneurship. Since 2018 he has volunteer at our annual convention working in the Membership booth, Raffle and helping exhibitors move in. 

Tommy resides in Bellville Texas with his wife, Rebecca. They have two children Miranda, who is a Texas State University graduate and Jacob, a Texas A&M graduate who is currently attending the Veterinary School of Medicine at Texas Tech University.  Hunting and Fishing are his passion but he enjoys sporting clays and an occasional round of golf.   Tommy is strong believer in HSCF mission ofconservation, education, and hunter’s rights and considers it an honor to be Director of this organization.

REBECCA BOOTH

Rebecca finished Mississippi College with Bachelor of Science. Fast forward to 1998, where she settled in Houston, TX. Rebecca has worked in the IT software arena for more than 20 years with various companies, specifically in SAP application security.

Rebecca joined the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2000 and has been a member since. Rebecca joined the Breeders Greeters committee for HLSR in 2008. Rebecca served on the scheduling team for nine years and was Vice Chairman from 2021 to 2024. 

Also in 2008, Rebecca joined Houston Safari Club. Rebecca has been a member on Gazelle’s luncheon convention. 

Rebecca is part of the HSCF YWCE program since 2018. Rebecca helps with set up, guiding students and teachers with their education program during the event. In 2019, she was in charge of setting up the registration program. 

Since 2019 Rebecca has participated in the HSCF youth hunting program. In 2024, Rebecca was selected to Lead and Coordinate for one of the annual HSCF youth hunts.

One of her first hunting trips was to South Africa, where she purchased this hunt from one of the Gazelles luncheons. Rebecca has participated on several other Houston Safari hunts and adventures.

Rebecca is a member of NRA, RMEF, and Ducks Unlimited. Rebecca is certified with TYHP – Texas Youth Hunting Program as a hunt master. 

Rebecca is passionate about hunting and fishing and just being outdoors.

Rebecca has two daughters and two grandchildren.

Derek Ham is an accomplished businessman with a passion for the outdoors, hunting and conservation. He is especially passionate for getting kids and others involved in hunting and guiding them to understand the link and truth between hunting and conservation. He began his first career in Los Angeles working in the music industry. He later moved back to Texas in support of his family and pursued a career in Commercial Construction. Ultimately, his passion for the outdoors led him to Farm and Ranch Real Estate where he currently represents Ruple Ranch & Land.

Derek’s passion for the outdoors was fostered as young boy by his father who grow up on the famed LX Cattle Ranch in the Texas panhandle. His father set the groundwork for his love of hunting and fishing. Derek has been an avid hunter and conservationist for the majority of his life traveling around the world hunting both unique and more traditional game alike. His most notable hunting accomplishment was being dropped by float plane in Alaska for a week for a self-guided hunt where he harvested the Number 11 all time Pope & Young Moose with his recurve bow. Among other countries, he has also been a successful hunter in New Zealand, Spain, Greenland and Newfoundland.   But, of course, he has and does most prominently hunt in our great state of Texas.

Derek is a Lifetime member Houston Safari Club Foundation where he has chaired the Annual Sporting Clays Event for the last two years raising money for Youth Programs. Prior to his time at HSCF, he chaired the Adventures program for Sky High for Kids where he organized and executed hunts for pediatric cancer patients for over five years.

Derek shares his passion for hunting with his wife Jeni and daughter Sydney. Both of whom have traveled with him on his hunting adventures. He takes care to demonstrate his concern for a healthy wildlife population and ensure that the hunt is more than the harvesting of game but, more importantly, it’s about the experience.

Derek is also a member of the following organizations: TDA, RMEF, NWTF, TTHA, NRA, Sportsman’s Alliance, and Quail Coalition.

Paul McCutchen is deeply committed to contributing in any capacity required to support the success of the Houston Safari Club Foundation. With a broad and diverse background across multiple industries, Paul brings extensive experience, a passion for relationship-building, and a strong drive to achieve business goals.

As the owner of 28 Gauge Realty in Houston, Texas, since 2020, Paul has utilized valuable lessons from his past experiences to assist others in realizing their real estate objectives. Additionally, since 2005, he has been the owner of Armadillo Insurance Group in Houston, where he continues to grow his business and explore new markets, including the long-haul trucking sector.

Between 2013 and 2020, Paul owned Gruene Fund in San Antonio, Texas, where he analyzed and managed a variety of commercial property types, including multifamily, raw land, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality. Before that, he worked as a loan officer for USAA and Wells Fargo in San Antonio from 2008 to 2013. His time at USAA taught him the importance of serving a loyal client base, while his experience at Wells Fargo helped him learn what to avoid in a corporate setting.

Earlier in his career, Paul founded Green Mountain Mortgage in Austin, Texas, in 2002, applying lessons learned at Old Kent Mortgage to build a successful team. From 1999 to 2002, he worked at Old Kent Mortgage, where he developed expertise in credit analysis, relationship-building, marketing strategies, and team collaboration.

Paul holds a BS in International Economics from Texas Tech University (1993) and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio (2013).

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paul is a self-starter, creative, and skilled at cultivating relationships across diverse cultures. His passion for the outdoors and commitment to community involvement further highlight his well-rounded character. Paul earned the rank of Eagle Scout and won the Silver Medal in the USA Pentathlon 2023 Summer Nationals Masters Division (over 50). He has volunteered with organizations like the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, where he served on the Breeders Greeters Committee, and the Houston Safari Club, where he chaired the Annual Convention Volunteer Committee in 2024 and 2025. Paul has been recognized as ‘Coach of the Year’ multiple times by his little league teams’ players and parents and currently manages three dove leases in South Texas. His hunting experiences have taken him across four continents, and he has had the privilege of assisting the blind musician duo, Bill & Bonnie Hearne. Paul has been a member of the Houston Safari Club Foundation since 2022 and would be honored to serve on their Board of Directors.

Bryan Ray has been a member of the Houston Safari Club since 2017 and became a Life Member in 2018. Since joining HSCF, Bryan has become an active participant and volunteer. Bryan volunteered for the duration of the convention at the 2018, 2019 and 2020 conventions and served as the Games Committee Chair for the 2019 convention. Bryan was also Gazelles Luncheon Sponsor and silent auction donor in 2019. Bryan also volunteered at the 2018 HSCF Sporting Clays Tournament and has assisted where needed whenever asked. At the 2019 convention, Bryan was presented the President’s award for service to HSCF. Bryan served on the Board of Directors from 2021-2023 and currently serves on a Vice President on the Board of Directors for Houston Safari Club Foundation.

A life-long hunter and fisherman, Bryan has been learning from the outdoors since he was a small boy. Bryan is an avid bowhunter and waterfowl hunter, and his two greatest passions are the quiet solitude of the stalk and the raucous calling of the duck blind. Along with HSCF, Bryan is a member of the Texas Wildlife Association, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Safari Club International, the West Texas Chapter of SCI, and the Hill Country Chapter of SCI. As a sixth generation Texan, and son of a retired Texas Ranger, Bryan is also a Texas Ranger Association Foundation benefactor.

Bryan earned two degrees from Texas A&M University where he worked extensively with international agricultural projects. During his Master’s program, Bryan worked as a teaching and research assistant gaining valuable knowledge working with grant proposals and research projects. Bryan works as an agent for Whitetail Properties, specializing in farms, ranches, and recreational properties.

Kevin Ormston is a native Houstonian and has been a member and active volunteer of HSC since 2008 while becoming a Life Member in 2012.   He has volunteered for the club through the years in various roles such as President of HSCF, Membership Chairman, Board member, Convention Chairman, Raffle Chairman, Silent auction committeeman, and currently is part of the Grants Committee.   

During HSCF’s 2020 convention, Kevin was honored to be awarded the “President’s Award” by J.D. Burrows.  During the 2023 HSC Convention, Kevin was again honored to receive the Frank Green Award of Commitment.  This is the highest honor one can receive as a volunteer for HSCF as voted on by all the Past Presidents.  The Frank Green Award of Commitment and the President’s Award are truly the highlights in Kevin’s “volunteer career” with HSC.  

In addition to volunteering, Kevin has supported Houston Safari Club with numerous sponsorships over the years for HSC’s Hunting Awards Program, HSC’s Sporting Clays Tournament, and the Gazelles’ Luncheon.

Kevin’s love for hunting and the outdoors started early when he was 8 years old with his first Texas hill country whitetail buck.  Kevin strongly supports HSC’s mission in conservation, education, and hunters’ rights.  He is in the construction industry and owns Rummel Creek Builders and Rummel Creek Pools. He has been happily married to Cheryl for over 25 years and has two daughters he is very proud of, Kayla and Kendall.

Mitzy McCorvey has been a member of HSCF since 2002, and became a Life Member in 2010. She was president of HSCF in 2018-2019.  She was a Corporate Sponsor from 2007-2011, has been a Dan L. Duncan Legacy sponsor since 2012, a Gazelle’s Luncheon Sponsor since 2008 as well as donating items to the Gazelle’s live and silent auctions. She has been involved with the Gazelles Luncheon since 2002 and served as Gazelles Luncheon Co-Chair in 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2017.  She received the HSCF President’s Award in 2012. She has participated in HSCF Conventions since 1995, she served as the Convention Chairman for the 2016 Convention.  Mitzy was selected as the 2016 HSCF International Huntress of the Year.   She served as Vice President of HSCF in 2014-2015 and then was elected to the Board of Directors for 2015 thru 2017. She has been Co-Chair of the Decorating Committee for HSCF’s annual convention from 2022 to current.

Mitzy is also a Life Member of SCI, SCI Sables and Houston Livestock & Rodeo. She is a Benefactor Life Member of the NRA.  She was elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2022 and is currently serving. She served on the Host Committee for the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum in 2013 and 2015 through 2017.  She was appointed to the Executive Committee for the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum in 2016 and is a member of the Leadership Council.  Mitzy has been a member of the HLSR Souvenir Program Committee since 2000, serving as Vice Chair from 2009-2012 and Captain from 2012-2016, and was recipient of HLSR President’s award in 2012.  She is also on the HLSR Scholarship Judging Committee.

She was the Live and Silent Auction coordinator for the Sunshine Kids at HLSR BBQ Cook-Off.  She is also a member of the Texas Deer Association.  She is married to Tony, who is also a Life Member of HSCF, and together they have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. She currently assists in overseeing cattle and deer operations at Rancho de Sueños (the family ranch).

Suzanne is a Life Member of HSCF, first joining the club in 2006.  She is honored to serve in her second term representing our members on the Board of Directors and is looking forward to chairing the Grants Committee during the 2025-26 calendar year. Suzanne has traveled extensively both as a photographer/observer on hunts and as a new ‘late-in-life’ hunter. She is married to HSCF Life Member James Koch who shares her passion for educating others on the contributions hunters make to conservation. They especially enjoy spending time in Zimbabwe where they volunteer for wildlife, education, and medical clinic projects. In 2023, James and Suzanne established Umtopi, LLC with a mission to support Zimbabwe artists by providing a market for their products.
