Paul Bamber, the owner of Wanganui Safaris located in New Zealand’s spectacular and remote, Whanganui River Valley. Paul is a longtime HSCF exhibitor and supporter and has hosted many HSCF members over the years. He was also recognized as the 2019 HSCF Professional Hunter of the Year. Paul Bamber grew up on a remote family farm in Jerusalem, on the Wanganui River, farming sheep, and cattle. Paul developed a love of hunting at the age of 10 when his dad gave him his .303 to hunt a big boar his sheep dogs were bailing. From that day forward, whenever Paul wasn’t at school, he hunted goats, pigs, and deer as well as trapping possums for money in the winter. Surrounded by 250,000+ acres of lush forest and breathtaking views of the Ruapehu, Tongariro, and Taranaki volcanos, Wanganui Safaris provides the hunt of a lifetime. Wanganui Safaris offers hunting for Red Stag, Fallow, Wapiti, Rusa, Arapawa Sheep, Goats, Tahr and Chamois. Wanganui Safaris has been outfitting for over 30 years.
