SFC. (R) Will Summers was assigned to 5th Special Forces Group as a member of ODA 595, (The Horse Soldiers). Will was an infantryman, Special Forces Communication Sergeant, and an Infantry Officer during his 25 years of service.
ODA 595 is the 12-man team of Army Green Berets who lead the invasion into Afghanistan weeks after the attacks on the Twin Towers in New Your City. Their valiant story is noted as the most successful Unconventional Warfare Campaign of 20th century. Their battles are captured in the Blockbuster movie 12 STRONG.
Will and his wife Dawn, of 28 years, currently live on their farm in East Texas with 9 of their 11 children still at home. They have 2 married children with 4 grandchildren.
Will is currently the Director of Activations for Horse Soldier Bourbon.
