Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management

Growing up in Mt. Vernon, Texas, introduction to the outdoors and hunting came early in life. Some of my earliest memories involve trips with my father and two brothers all over the state in pursuit of the newest game fixation. I knew hunting would always be a hobby of mine but never dreamed it would lead me this far.

In High School I obtained a management position on a local high-fence game ranch where I began to learn all the unseen knowledge that went into managing wildlife species. Having this job lead me to realize that my hobbies were not just hobbies; they were a passion of mine. I quickly came to realize that I wanted to make a career for myself in the field of wildlife and natural resources management.

I am now attending my senior year as an undergraduate student at Texas Tech University. My major is Natural Resources Management with my area of interest being in wildlife species restoration and management. My goals are:

  1. To ensure that future generations get to experience the great outdoors to the full capacity  that we have been able to.
  2. Promote sustainable uses and proper management practices of natural resources.
