Houston Safari Club recently signed on to the following letter urging the Senate to pass HJ Res.69, which the House already passed last week. Per Jeff Crane, President, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation:  While HJ Res 69 (previously numbered HJ Res 49) would specifically nullify the aforementioned AK rule, please consider the broader implications in voting in favor of this resolution:  The states have authority to manage fish and wildlife on federal lands (USFWS, BLM, USFS, NPS) as repeatedly affirmed by Congress, and cooperation is compelled to achieve both wildlife population and habitat objectives. Houston Safari Club Annual Convention A Rousing Success

Houston, TX – Houston Safari Club (HSC) recently concluded its 2017 Annual Convention and Hunting Expo. Daily pedestrian traffic in the expo hall and attendance at the banquet fundraising events were at an all-time high. This year’s theme was “Into the Wild”, and visitors were able to experience the thrill of the outdoors from the moment they entered the hall. The Saturday night Gala included the auction of the coveted Texas Desert Bighorn Sheep Reserve Tag. The tag was sold for an incredible $120,000 – the second highest bid ever for this tag. Houston Safari Club Announces Move & Expansion of Annual Convention In 2018

Houston, TX – Houston Safari Club (HSC) is pleased to announce the move and expansion of its annual Convention & Worldwide Hunting Expo. Beginning January 2018, the HSC event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, TX. The move allows HSC to accommodate the ever-expanding list of exhibitors that wish to be part of the annual event. The new location affords 104,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space at a central location within Houston. The newly redesigned convention center and adjacent plazas are a destination for locals and tourists.
