Topics To Be Discussed:

In this episode, we discuss how Kevin decided on a career in the outdoor industry, HuntingLife.com & his podcast. We dig further into what makes huntinglife.com so unique from other outdoor websites and hear about his project underway called ‘Outdoor Hive’.

Biography:

Kevin Paulson started HuntingLife.com in 2006 to create a resource to share his passion for the outdoors, hunting and conservation.  Prior to that Kevin co-owned an outfitting business in Idaho and Montana focused on elk and mule deer. He sold his portion of the business after his father passed away in 2006.   Kevin’s passion for outdoor gear, shooting and the entire hunting industry has allowed his business to grow exponentially over the last 20 years.  Kevin is a board member for the Professional Outdoor Media Association, and he is singularly focused on bringing more outdoor writers and influencers into the association.  Kevin is focused currently on growing a network called Outdoor Hive using new technology to benefit outdoor, hunting and shooting companies.

Kevin enjoys mentoring business partners, writers and influencers as well as new hunters looking to learn.  Over the past 20 months, Kevin has been working with his dog, a Deutsch Drahthaar named Miko, and working with a trainer to learn more about upland hunting behind a pointer.  Every step of the process has been about learning and sharing that connection with his dog.

Kevin also works with various clients in the outdoor marketplace to bring new technology to the hunting industry. In the world of COVID-19, Kevin is working with the team at Craig Boddington Endorsed Outfitters to put together a virtual convention from December 26th to the 30th to assist these outfitters during these unprecedented times.
