Houston Safari Club Announces Award Recipients


Houston, TX – Houston Safari Club (HSC) is proud to recognize John Pepper as the recipient of the 2018 Frank E. Green Award. Past presidents are invited to nominate one member for this prestigious award that was established to recognize those extraordinary members of Houston Safari Club, who have given tremendous time and effort for the enhancement and betterment of HSC and its members, over a period exceeding three years.  The award is presented annually at HSC’s Convention. John has served as President, Vice President, Director, Convention Co-Chair, and is currently the Treasurer. John and his wife Melanie continuously work on passing down the hunting tradition to their grandchildren.

HSC is also pleased to announce Julianne and Mark King as the recipients of the 2018 HSC President’s Award. The award is given each year to acknowledge the outstanding HSC member(s) whose contributions exceed expectations, in support of HSC’s mission. Individuals receive this award for their leadership, outstanding service contribution, superior performance, team collaboration, and serve as an inspiration to others. Both Julianne and Mark have served as HSC Presidents, Committee members for numerous years and most recently, 2018 Convention Co-Chairs. Julianne and Mark are both Life Member’s and continue to pass on the club’s legacy to their two children.
