Your 2nd Amendment Rights and Gun Ownership Laws in Texas with US LawShield

 Presenter: Richard Hayes

Richard D. Hayes, II is a former senior felony prosecutor with extensive criminal trial experience. Richard worked previously with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Richard has combined his law enforcement experience with his passion for individual rights and government accountability.

Richard is also known in the firearms and Second Amendment community as a Texas gun and weapons law authority. To that end, Richard regularly travels around the state and country and presents on self-defense, weapons law, and the legal aftermath following a defensive incident. Additionally, Richard regularly consults with lawmakers and industry experts on firearms law and best practices.

Richard earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, in 2013 and was admitted to the Texas Bar the same year. Before law school, he received his B.S. in Maritime Administration with a minor in Economics from Texas A&M University. At Texas A&M, Richard was distinguished as a Research Scholar. Richard is also a native Texan, parliamentarian, outdoorsman, pistol instructor, and Eagle Scout.
