Tim Herald lives in Lexington, KY with his wife Alka. He has 22-year-old twin sons, Will and Drew. Over the past 45 years, Herald has hunted and fished all over the U.S. (40 states) and in 38 countries on 6 continents. He has taken dozens of record book big game animals and has harvested 25 wild turkey Grand Slams, 2 Royal Slams and a World Slam. He has taken the modern African Dangerous 7 and has successfully hunted dangerous game on many occasions including lion, 29 African buffalo, elephant, grizzly, leopard, Asian water buffalo, hippo, crocodile, rhino, etc.

Herald has been involved in the outdoor/hunting industry on a professional level since 1996 in varied capacities as a guide, outfitter, hunt consultant, outdoor writer and on-screen television personality. He was the Outdoor Marketing Manager for Under Armour from 2004-2008 and was Director of Marketing for Bad Boy Buggies 2008-2009. He now makes his living as an owner and International Hunting Consultant at Worldwide Trophy Adventures. He also currently works with Tracks Across Africa television series as a field producer and delivers several quality episodes to viewers each year.

In his capacity at WTA, he books many hunts in North America, but international travel is his passion. Herald says, “the adventure of traveling to remote places all over the world, seeing the different species, terrain, experiencing different cultures and meeting new people is what drives me to travel the world hunting and fishing.” Tim has been on 35 safaris throughout Africa, and hunting dangerous game on the Dark Continent is his favorite pursuit. Over the past 6 years he has spent a large amount of time in Uganda and has become the main US contact for Uganda Wildlife Safaris.
